Therapy helps weak minded individuals cope. Not everyone is stable, or had an easy life, but many are mentally weak due to the state of humanity as a whole. Therapy allows for a grown adult to cry and complain like they are still a child, and it works. Reduces stress and whatever, but at the same time dampens the incentive to solve their own problems, either making them want more therapy or forcing them to learn to cope properly.
