Though that introduces another conundrum: how are we sure that every living thing has the same readable thought patterns? Could one species think in literal reverse, others based on consensus of sub-consciousnesses, one that doesn't think unless subjected to specific pheromones? Language is a much smaller 'sphere' to learn than learning how to read every form of thought. How would the succubus read that after knowing their languages? Hell, language can be argued as constructed thoughts written in symbology. What I am saying is that languages introduce logic and laws to communication, and that it would be easier to understand innately through telepathy, than raw thoughtform.
