Unironical question, why is this abhorrent art style that looks like the last three pages of a 15 year old's math book, so ubiquitous in Eastern European countries? It looks like the drawings of an 85 IQ Kulak. It reminds me of those soviet cartoons where the characters are not only drawn in this weirdly ugly fashion, but their simple eyes and wooden facial expressions make them look oddly stiff, like emotional dyslexics. When I look at old soviet cartoons the characters always come across as almost depressed and lifeless. Is this being done on purpose or were the Soviets just that good at eradicating quality?
