Reporting back since no one asked, but you should have:
It was surprisingly busy along the canal for the time of day, but the atmosphere was calm. Lots of couples. A few late night runners. I should start running again.
A German cruise ship passed by a row of moored Greek freight ships, which felt kind like an ironic fateful/hateful meeting that should have happened but didn't.
The lights under the bridge were beautiful if you were in the right kind of melancholic mood. The moon almost aligned with the bridge's spire, all white and swan-like. One guy tried to capture the magic while his gf was distracted. They don't deserve each other and probably won't remember the moment, but I will.
The cafe under the bridge was still open. I might have a coffee there in there morning and pretend I'm hip enough to belong.
