There is a clear distinction between GOD, the being (whos name is Aus in the beta in reference to that being) and Arceus, the avatar pokemon that literally declares to you at the end of the game when you catch it that you are being given a "portion of my power." meaning the horse pocket monster is NOT God, but its avatar on earth. This is basic shintoism.
The notion isn't to say that "Aus" is definitively the name of God, but that "The Original One" referred to in the games and called "Aus" in the beta is separate from Arceus the pokemon which is just its avatar.
Call the one born from the Cosmic Egg "The Original One" if you want to be as canon as possible. Regignosis just uses Aus because it is what the leaked origin docs use to refer to the original one in the context of the creation story that coincides with the Flame and Earth plate explaining the battle of Giants and how they became plates.
