I definitely was not expecting it to be this great and didn't know how a Fusapan chapter would go but cygays managed to execute the narrative wonderfully with setting up Fusapan as a Fukunaga successor to Kraft and having her pull off a fate change to carry on Kraft's wishes to properly win the QE cup. I thought I was gonna be left disappointed since Kawakami was just DQ'd historically but the way they showed the alteration of destiny there was satisfying. Fusapan grew a lot on me seeing her grow a ton as an uma musume and become stronger and more mature through hardship while still being cute and herself, and god that part where she gets choked up with tears mid-live was just so perfect. Up until this chapter I thought that while part 2 was standing out on its own merits it wasn't really hitting me the way chapters 3 and 6 did but holy fug this chapter's gotta be my new favorite
also holy shit I didn't think they'd actually do something like have Kraft fall into a coma, I got so used to uma deaths having gentler changes of fate, but it made Fusapan's win so much more dramatic and having Kraft awake to her indirect legacy of inspired tiara mares was also perfect
