Too bad Asa isn't a real woman but a character written by Fujimoto, a man who enjoys seeing women in dominant positions.
Asa is at heart a proud heroine type who hates feeling indebted to others, that's partly why she's trying to save Denji's ass from trouble, to pay back for all the times she was saved by him.
Anyone who expects her to be written as submissive/masochistic is in for a massive disappointment.
