Musk is still a spiritual Jew who wants to flood the US with Indians to save himself a few bucks because he see us as a place to exploit rather than a homeland. It's easy for him to jump on a popular bandwagon but that doesn't make him any less of a piece of shit.

It's just random collection of shit that he thinks will work best for him individually.
Also he's mad about the CAFE standards. The tax credits weren't a big thing since they went into the pocket of the buyers and for his cars, didn't represent a large percentage of the price. Some top end Teslas weren't even eligible. But the CAFE standards is what really made Tesla a profit because each time another car company sold a car, they had to give a percentage of the purchase price to Tesla as an environmental offset. Tesla doesn't make money off of selling cars directly, it makes money off of the carbon credits it sells to GM, Ford, and other automobile companies. That's far more damaging to lose than the tax credits.

I'm really curious as to how leveraged he is against Tesla stock. The vast majority of his wealth comes from it. He was merely an above average wealth billionaire before the huge run up in Tesla's stock price when the money printer went insane. That's when he shot up to being the "wealthiest in the world". We know he had to bring in outside investors and leverage his Tesla stocks for the twitter purchase. The fiances of SpaceX are rather opaque but while we know Starlink is bringing in revenue and Falcon is too from launches, much of that is money moving around internally in the company.
Should the Tesla bubble pop, he might be fucked. We really don't know.
