Probably, but just because it can't protect her from you, it doesn't mean it's completely pointless.
It could protect her from an entire hive of bees, swarms of rats and so on.
Armor for regular knights also wouldn't protect them from the slap of a giant, nor would it protect them from a catapult or trebuchet but it does protect them from a lot of things.
