You're not screwed, you just need to play smarter. You’ve already got marketable skills: editing, writing, languages, architecture background, that’s a solid base. The problem is you're stuck thinking local when you should be going global.

Start freelancing for US/UK clients. Build a basic site or portfolio, even a Twitter/X account. There’s tons of demand for people who can do short-form editing, trailers, ad copy, subtitling, voiceover coordination, etc. Use platforms like Contra or even cold DMs, sounds cringe but it works.

Law school is fine if you’ve got the time and zero debt, but don’t count on it for money anytime soon. You’ll be 3 years and six figures deep before you see returns. Better to treat it as a long-term play, not a financial fix.

I keep multiple income streams going freelance, some ecom crap, and I rotate into plays like Goat on AVAX when memecoin season heats up. Not saying go all-in, just don’t ignore the upside when the market’s frothy.

Focus on getting to $5k/month first in USD terms, then scale from there. You don't need 20k out the gate. Stack, rotate, and don't move to the US until you've got leverage.
