The most significant American president of the 21st century, easily. Obama is pissed because he thought that was going to be him, but Trump has completely overshadowed Obama and flushed 90% of his legacy down the toilet. Nobody has mastered aesthetics more than Trump; the MAGA Movement is far bigger, more ideologically diverse, and has had greater staying power than the vaunted "Obama Coalition"; and having two presidential numbers in an age where the very thought of a president running again for a nonconsecutive term was once reserved for alternate history and fiction. He's completely managed to also remake a political party in his image in a way that hasn't truly happened since Reagan, and has basically eclipsed Reagan as the new "eternal leader" of the GOP that future candidates will try to emulate and link themselves to. By contrast, Obama's grip on the Dems has already been lost.

For example, 2028 will be a repeat of 2016 and 2020 where the old party elites will kneecap the far-left insurgent (probably AOC in 2028) to avert a November electoral disaster, piss their supporters off even more by doing so, and lead to insubordination. Meanwhile, we just have to keep those on the right trying to engage in purity spiraling the fuck away from significant influence; us laughing at them during the whole Iran incident made at least some of them backtrack in embarrassment and pretend like they didn't stop trusting Trump in order to prop themselves up online with anonymous X followers.

While I've been on 4chan since the Bush years, politics-wise, I was here for Ron Paul 2011/12, before Iowa; continued through them trying to put the ZimZam in the SlimSlam and the early police shooting trials after; remember how unenthusiastic everyone was for 2016, with the plan seeming to be to begrudgingly back Rand for lack of any appealing choice, all for Trump to appear and pull everyone into his orbit and make everything fun again. So I was active in the Trump threads from 2015 through to the 2020 election. Some stuff happened after the 2020 election that kept me away from /ptg/ for most of the President Autopen years, and I returned right after the NY fake convictions happened, at the end of May last year.
