GNOME, Debian and the greater FOSS community are going on the record to actively protect Jeremy Bicha. Giving him special treatment to ensure he can continue to physically access conferences. Some of which have children in attendance, a common and promoted thing in the FOSS community.
It's totally bewildering to me. I thought there was a limit where legal/HR steps in and says "This is lawsuit fuel. This is going to explode into a PR issue, it's indefensible". Especially after how hair trigger conferences have been for a decade to deplatform absolutely anyone who gets the hecklers veto, now they're turning a blind eye to a registered sex offender running around their halls. Jeremy Bicha, a sadistic and violent serial child molester.
It truly comes across like they're mocking everyone, saying "we make up the rules, we'll defend a sexual child torturer before we let you chuds attend our conference, because he's one of us". Whatever happened to the purity spiral? I guess it doesn't apply for pretty much the worst crime imaginable.
inb4 Lunduke steals this story without crediting, again. I thought this was his job? He should be on top of every FOSS conference going down. We should be stealing from him, not the other way around. What a slacker.
