I want to believe you, but looking around *and* listening to other countries (particularly ones where we have and have had a military presence), I'm afraid I can't. Both the Dems and the Repubs do nothing but exacerbate American Exceptionalism and Imperialism while subjecting the rest of the world (or at least most of it) to neoliberal pauperism. Trump is just doing it with an extra tint of totalitarianism and technocratic oligarchy (thanks to Project 2025).
