Your wrong about the first part but the second is accurate. Ashkenazi jews are most similer genetically to Sicilians and Cretians. They share a very similer Mediterranean phenotype that you find among levantines, Greeks, and southern Italians. They are generally dark haired, thin nosed, hairy, and range from pale skin to an olive tone. They are still genetically distinct populations however.
