You mean the hat? That's a relatively modern invention and you can wear any hat you want. Anyway, it's not really a religious element. I don't see them putting on a talit with tfilin on their foreheads.
That's just a dress code in there, like how some museums make you put on special slippers and women are expected to be dressed modestly in an Orthodox church etc.
