The Scarlet king proposal is actually a very interesting bit of philosophical reading. I enjoyed it because it wasn't just an Evil god, but there were layers to why it was how it was. Compelling at the least.

"Casual Absent paranoia" is an article that's a decent one-off horror piece. Very good at a slow build, doesn't overdo it with the monster too much.

"When Day Breaks" despite being wanked to hell, was wanked to hell because it's a decent bit of horror writing. Cosmic horror too. There's no reason for the inciting event, it just *is* and everything goes to hell because of it.

For more classic horror, I recommend "This is where I died" It has a very horror movie feel to how it's all written, and the reveal at the end is clever enough imo to make you grin a bit. Because you realize why the entry is made that way.

If you want something from the first series, 783, "The Crooked Man" is a masterclass in doing just enough fucked up shit that it doesn't feel gratuitous. In my opinion it's a much better version of 106.
