Russian Missile Strikes Kyiv Apartment Building, Destroying Basement Shelters

A Russian Kh-101 cruise missile struck a high-rise apartment building in Kyiv's Solomianskyi district during a massive overnight air attack, Ukraine's Air Force said on Tuesday.
The impact was so powerful that it destroyed reinforced concrete floor structures deep in the building's basement, which was likely being used as a shelter. The attack was part of a broader nine-hour aerial assault on the capital involving hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles, one of the largest since the start of the full-scale invasion.
Ukrainian officials reported at least 15 fatalities and over 100 injuries across the city from the wave of strikes. Emergency crews are currently searching for survivors in the rubble of the destroyed apartment block.
