LISA is great because it knows its dark, and thus doesnt have to actually reaffirm it. Dark stuff happens and people do react to it believably, but overall its treated like "Yeah, of course, thats just the world nothing new". The humor and quirkiness doesnt try to mask it, it plays along with the dark, and its still able to hold back the jokes when its being really serious. It's not like omori where the dark sections and the quirky sections may as well be two completely different games, they're actually blended to the point you cant really remove one without losing the other.
