It’s already been five years for Arknights, and we’ve worked on this project for seven. Seven years isn’t exactly a short time for anyone.
At the beginning we were driven by certain impulses or personal experiences that made us want to take on this project. Over the years we’ve told many stories and accomplished many of the things we set out to do. From the perspective of our generation of creators, a lot of what we wanted to express has already taken shape, and new achievements keep emerging as young creators join our team.
Over the next five years, Arknights will largely be told from a younger viewpoint—or rather, from the perspective of an even younger generation—about things that might happen in the future. As Hai Mao mentioned before, we’ve planned three major arcs. At this five-year milestone, the second arc is drawing to a close, and soon we’ll enter the third.
We also plan for the Arknights IP to continue on a ten-year trajectory. Looking ahead, on the animation side, we hope to maintain momentum with—well, to put it bluntly—more investment (laughs). We hope to secure more resources, whether financial or through our own efforts, to keep expanding in this area and exporting our best content. Literature is a powerful and excellent medium, but in entertainment terms its reach is relatively narrow. We want to share our good stories with society and the entire world through richer formats.
