>Use Steam Family to make a free alt character (could probably make multiple if you're sweaty) on your main's server
>Bankroll it with gear/thopter and grind rank 3 reputation with the opposing faction in an hour or so
>You can now purchase the one-per-character Landsraad vendor blueprints on weeks when your main's faction loses, and the winners select a vendor decree
>Could also go an extra step by acquiring enough intel to learn any important recipes, in the event the opposing faction chooses the 25% crafting reduction
>Losing faction also receive a 20% bonus buff for personal contributions, which can stack up to five times at least, greatly reducing the time / resources it takes to complete kill / turn-in tasks for specific house rewards
The only real disadvantage to this is if the winners pick the decrees to increase ranged / melee weapon damage, but those can be overcome by skill or numbers. If they choose increased EXP, it's really not a big deal, and if they choose a retarded decree, then nobody gains an advantage. My server is heavily skewed towards Atreides, but 95% of them are 40+ year old PvE boomers who shit their pants in the PvP portion of DD. I see no reason to participate in the Landsraad. Losing repeatedly just makes it considerably easier to get the personal rewards I want from minor houses, and the Steam Family trick allows me to enjoy almost all of the winner's benefits, without actually having to deal with some very monotonous PvE grinds in Hagga Basin. While PvE boomers farm outrageous amounts of random shit so my alt can freeload, I can just fuck around in the DD collecting what's needed for endgame gear.
