that maymay is cherrypicking and we all know it. plenty of atheists did not speculate a fully Type I or Type II Kardashev civilization just based on the lower levels of religiosity. plenty of atheists said there would still be tons of problems going on well past the 21st century. it takes time to alleviate all the growing pains of humanity.
