I am Canadian .... I have seen Neil Young ( Seen because I saw Neil Young at a mall ( Eatons Centre ) , knew who he was , and had no inclination to meet him. Pointed out to a friend that was Neil Young , and he said " Who ? ".
He looked like a homeless guy who had access to a closet and free laundry. The difference , I would rather hang out with a homeless guy since they would have something worth wile to say .
