I find this kind of corporate shit fascinating. The higher ups seem like gamblers throwing around millions in creating or disolving studios. Since there's so much money floating around everyone tries to work in one of these companies and to justify themselves. Then if something falls apart, you can be left with a company that exists on paper, but doesn't have anything to do, and still gets funded. Then... what? It sounds like Probably Monsters might be in a "holding pattern" of sorts until Sony can figure out what to do with it.

And that can take years upon years to actually get anywhere. These companies almost seem designed by a top tier of engineers to waste as much time and produce as little as possible. Cliffhanger Games mentioned above made a teaser for their game, and only actually made a physical office 4 months before it was shut down. So it looks like they were just fucking around for like 4-5 years without any work being actually done.

I think we're ripe for outright corproate collapse of many gaming publishers and companies if these kind of practices keep going.
