You know you can easily counter these idiots— Mirror Blade on the ready— though you were more worried about the collateral damage their little light show would cause. "Cause we got a fancy new spell! Now- GUH!"
Cattleya, with almost lightning reflexes and speed to match, punched him in the gut. Before anyone else could react, she was back at your side. You shared a glance with her, the two of you now ready for battle.
"You fuckin'..." Boss said. Incensed, he looked up to the three of you and motioned for his two fellow ex-bandits to attack. With a "Get 'em!" the fight began.
They never got close to you, with Cattleya stopping them all. You were grateful of her reflexes and her knowledge of the situation. The enchantment on her gauntlets protected her from every hit they could've dealt, though this was overkill in a situation like this, as she was able to block every attack with ease.
In the corner of your eye, you saw Boss charge up a fire spell, again.
"WAIT!" You shouted. And the three ex-bandits stopped what they were doing, Boss letting his spell fizzle out. The three former(?) bandits were completely still.
The Boss groaned, realizing what just happened. "Not this shit again."
With the three of your powers combined, it was easy enough to get them all to surrender. And they, with your two wives watching them, were brought outside for further questioning.
And just like that, the hotel was spared from getting wrecked.
Just as you were about to leave, you heard someone approach. The mouse girl from earlier was before you.
"You've probably only seen me in passing, which means we haven't really been introduced, right?" She squeaked, a faint redness brushing her face.
"Not really." You said. "Name's John Doe."
"Rattica Squeek." She curtsied as though remembering that is was something she needed to do. "And thank you for saving me."
"Don't mention it." You said.
And after she was done, a stout man with a bushy mustache approached as he smiled warmly.
"My name is Ein Tiller." Said the human man with the mustache, fitting perfectly with the homely feel this place had. "And I wanted to thank you for saving my hotel. Please, consider anything you owe for staying here to be payed off. I'll also give you and your wives discounts when coming here again."
Saving a bit of money was good and all, but that wasn't the end of it.
"Just to confirm, you're the same John Doe that bought Left-Bridge, right?" He asked.
"Yeah, that's me."
He smiled, and said that though he knew that the place had a bad reputation, and that is was a bit away from this area, he was sufficiently impressed by your strength of character to be willing to rent out a place there. There he planned to start another hotel despite the risks.
Seems like there was already at least one guy you could count on bringing business to your plaza.
You said your farewells to the mouse girl and the owner of the Cinnamon Inn, and made your way outside to interrogate the Drag On Gang.
