American Evangelical Protestants are bizarre to those of us who live here in the States as well. And I say this as someone who's a devout Christian and a Midwesterner. Really cool people to hang out with, super conservative, but damn do they have massive hard-ons for Israel to the point that it's unbearable to listen to them when they speak about it.
