The majority of leftism has deeply ingrained identity politics. You don't consider your own policies to be identity politics because they are so normalized and you approach it with a blind-faith dogma. Modern leftism is deeply, deeply, identity based. This is why we study intersectionality, and one of the ideas in modern marxist thought (technically neo-marxist, but that term is heavily overused by retards like Jordan Peterson) is to unify various ethnical, sexual, etc., identities against a majority, as this is seen as necessary for a united proletarian vanguard.
