Blowback in the middle east that will be felt for decades to come. Will mobilize every shitty, rag-tag militia and lone wolf to fuck with US interests, military, and likely even citizens here in the US. Will further cozy up with governments of both China and Russia and give governments of both countries a further foothold, influence, in middle east politics. As a member of OPEC, will drive up the price of petroleum which the US is heavily dependent upon. Just to name a few.
