Topic of male loneliness epidemic came up in a discord server I'm in. No one was really quite hitting the nail on the head, so I type a long thing with TL;DR, three parts societal isolation after graduating and one part inability to find sexual and/or romantic success (also tied into societal isolation).
Some fucking bitch comes in "ermm but have you considered that women dont WANT all that attention that men give them? I've been sexually harassed over 10 times in my life as moderately attractive woman."
Ohhhh my fucking god. I wanted to strangle her right then and there. I'm ostensibly progressive, but holy fuck "feminists" piss me the fuck off. We're talking about male issues. We're talking about how men find it difficult to socialize and adapt to changing standards in the modern day. We're talking about the disparity in romantic and sexual attention that men and women get (no value statements attached to it, simply observing it as is.) And this fucking cretin comes in with "what about women?" I fucking hate you.
I wish this was an isolated incident, but women cannot seem to shut the fuck up about their own problems the second a good faith discussion about men's problems comes up.
