It can be both, you know. The game is a piss easy baby mode handholding title that wants too hard to bring in MORE new players with no significant challenge or "friction", AND it can be nigh inaccessible for the PC players because it's broken on sheer performance problems and instability among many other factors that simply have not been improved one iota.
If this is the fate of Wilds and RE Engine work for shit that the engine clearly just isn't handling worth a damn, they'd have better luck porting old MH games to PC and modern platforms to make up for the costs here than they ever would trying to keep Wilds afloat on the PC market, because less than 5% of gamers on PC can probably play it worth a damn. But even then, that would just further highlight how absolutely toothless Wilds is as a MH game, because those older games blow it out of the water for overall design despite lacking all that quality of life.
