He has the same problem as most other artists have when they draw the same thing over and over. They start to exaggerate the defining features so much it turns into shit. Like penny arcade, or news paper cartoons.

Yukikaze/rinko are very obvious examples. Their TY1 and TY3 appearance is completely different.
