Most environmental activism these days is a thinly veiled call for Socialism. They want more government control of businesses rather than deregulating the nuclear industry so it can be profitable. Sure, safety standards for nuclear absolutely need to exist, but there's no reason building a new power planet should take 15 years when we can build them to the highest level of safety standards in 16 months.
