I was going to challenge the idea that Augustus has no clue Lucy was an abuser, but maybe it's not so outlandish after all. From what I can tell, Lucy never internalized how horribly she had treated Mike. Up until December all she ever sulked about was how Mike chose Sandy over her, said sorry exactly once, and just kept pining and pining instead of making any basic restitution. Yeah she understood that losing Mike was a consequence of bad behavior, but all she focused on afterward was her own personal loss. So I can imagine Lucy never discussed her culpability in depth. Then she got put on a bus and came back in full girlboss mode. Showing zero regrets for past behavior and acting like the sole victim. One single time she admitted that Mike had every right to hate her, and that came off like another attempt to shake him off. She sure as hell wasn't fessing up past crimes to Augustus, not while shaming him over Daisy.
