Arbitrary randomness isn't interesting. It's anti-interesting. Because it directly denies the possibility of meaning.
If you want to use terms / reference symbols (which is what tropes are), you have to respect that they have a specific meaning.
You can make up your own language if you want, but you can't blame other people for not already understanding and using it - or for not wanting to bother learning your weird arbitrary language.
It does not matter whether you are bored or jaded about the existing lexicon of tropes / symbols / terms. That literally just does not fucking matter here. It's irrelevant.
