Something I notice in part 1 which is very lacking in part 2 is how perspective is drawn. It’s has a very fish eye lens like style and scenes blows right out of the pages. However in part 2 everything seems so flat. In part 1 there was a strong symbiosis between the background and foreground while part 2 it’s very clear to tell the difference. Even when the background is drawn with a specific angle in mind fujimoto draws the character flat on it either the chapter is looking straight at the reader or it’s a side profile of the character.

Oddly enough this change happened as soon as the quality dropped and fujimoto stopped with his part 1 assistant.
