The entire genre decided to adopt the exact same problems all at the same time and there is literally nothing worth playing right now. Every major franchise has been reduced to intentionally overpowered neutral skipping bullshit and undroppable rushdown pandering "accessibility" changes to core mechanics that remove all the risk/reward from long/optimal combos and turn the game into a fucking snoozefest on every level.

Doesn't help that big money marketing faggots have gotten involved and taken over the """esports""" side of things, and they care more about the game being a viable """ esport """ than they do about the games actually being fun to play, so everyone is being gaslit into thinking these games are fun because all the old grassroots shit has been replaced by soulless slop.
