For example, Carthage, an Empire ruled by Canaanites, enslaved and sacrificed subjugated people, including infants, and is the origin of the Greco-Roman religious myth; as Saturn/Cronus consumed his children, Jupiter/Zeus rebelled and overthrew him, becoming the new Ruler of Olympus - a religious metaphor of Rome’s ascendance as Hegemon over the Mediterranean. After the destruction of Carthage, many of these Canaanites/Edomites migrated to the Roman province of “Judea”, where the Israelites accepted them so long as they converted.
The Biblical term “Judean”, from which the term “Jew” derives, simply means “resident of the Roman Province Judea”. Eventually, the Edomites came to dominate Judea over the Israelites (again, this is a racial differentiation).
Centuries later, however, a schism occurred in Judea as the Israelites, behind a man named Christ, challenged the rule of the Edomites, leading to the biblical strife in the New Testament. The Romans put down this rebellion by crucifying the Israelite leader.
Later, however, Rome would be burned in 64 AD. Some Romans blamed the Christians, though it was clear the Christians neither had the power nor resources to burn Rome. The Romans realized that it was the Edomite Judeans (not the Israelite Judeans) who burned Rome in 64 AD, since by 66 AD the dominant Edomites were now burning every city in the Roman Empire from Alexandria to Scythopolis to Caesarea, etc.
