Tonguepunch
Grung Racial Feature
Your long, muscular tongue can be used as a surprising unarmed weapon in combat.
Attack Type: Unarmed Strike (Special)
Range: 10 feet
Damage: 1d4 bludgeoning damage
Ability Modifier: Strength or Dexterity (your choice)
Special Properties: Finesse, Reach, Nonlethal Option
Usage: You can use your Tonguepunch as a bonus action if you took the Attack action with a melee weapon or unarmed strike on your turn.
Additional Effects (Choose One at 5th Level or Higher):
Tongue Grab: If your Tonguepunch hits, the target must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier) or be pulled 5 feet closer to you.
Tongue Trip: Instead of dealing damage, you can attempt to knock the creature prone. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw or fall prone.
Tongue Precision: When you make a Tonguepunch attack, if you are flanking the target or if it is unaware of your presence (e.g., surprised, blinded, restrained, etc.), you may declare you are aiming for the backside or "fartbox". If the DM agrees the conditions are met, the Tonguepunch deals double damage (2d4 instead of 1d4).
Additionally, the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier) or be Staggered until the end of its next turn—granting disadvantage on its next melee attack roll due to sheer discomfort.
Limitations: You must have your mouth free and not be wearing a helmet or gag to use this attack.
