The Think Tank doesn’t have, or the scientists don’t know they have, the data in The Think Tank Dome. So you instead have to trudge back out and revisit each site to download the data onto holotapes. X-22, X-8, X-17, X-66, Z-43… they all blur together as you harken back to your courier days by lugging a bag full of tapes around and one-tap the occasional lobotomite or creature still hanging around.

Nothing is ever easy, of course. While you have mounds of invaluable pre-war data, it’s hardly organized and more than some of it is fractured and unusable. Reading through some of the reports, the logistical reality hits you. This was ultimately a testing ground for experimental technology, not a manufacturing hub.

The practical stuff you read through is meant for a technologically-advanced United States of 2077, not a post-apocalyptic desert nation just building up a basic industry. There’s some valuable data here about purging radiation from water and generating vast quantities of water from evaporation, but the equipment necessary is all specialized and was made centuries ago as a one of a kind.

This is a pattern with most of the “ready now” experiments, the controlled environment just doesn’t exist in the Mojave or really in the post-war world itself. Much like with the remainder of House’s corrupted data, you and the research team will have to begin coming through it and converting it to more practical purposes.

The recipe for Addictol and just about every other medicine possible is extracted from Y-8 and most could probably be produced in the next few months. The followers have the recipes for most of the medicine you find in the wasteland, but specialized prescriptions, antibiotics and antidotes that were lost to time have now been found.

>You have unearthed a large amount of data, research, recipes, experiments and much more through your accessing of a Big Mountain. Much of the research will need to be converted for the equipment and resources the NVD possesses. The more work you and the research team do to convert the data, the more that will be unlocked for the NVD.

>You now have the recipes for hundreds of different medicines, and experimental ones like Biogel. The followers will need additional equipment and resources, but that’s the only bottleneck for the Mojave to become a major medicinal producer in the wasteland.

>You now possess the knowledge of how to create cyberdogs, much like Rex and Roxie. The process is expensive and labor-intensive but there’s no greater friend or companion in the wasteland.
