Not sure what it is about AI that inspires so much contrarianism in people. Maybe it's just because they really strongly associate AI with pajeets on twitter. The really cynical/schizo part of me thinks that it's just botfarms, only instead of Russians or Israeli shillbots it's corporations trying to stymie legislation
Or are people really just that scared of the prospect that their brain can be reduced to just a really complex machine
