"Pokemania" was always destined to fade, but Pokemon as a franchise would continue, it didn't matter if the normalfag masses ignored it, it still existed. Nothing would've actually changed about Gen 3's development, we still would've gotten the spin-offs, maybe a few more would've come existence, but by now they'd probably be thrown in the rest. But all in all everything that already happened with Pokemon would've still happened unchanged

Pokemania wasn't as influtential to the franchise as poeple like to think
