Spain was solidly Christian from the early 300s to the early 700s, when they got conquered by the Moslems. The entire remainder of the penninsula save the Emirate of Granada were taken by 1270, so Moslem for 559 years. Granada fell in 1492, so it was Moslem for 781 years, barely enough to have been Muslim longer than it has been Catholic.
