Her mantra is basically fake it 'til you make it. There's usually a hesitation panel accompanied with her saying something that makes her look tough and callous, which is probably meant to imply that she isn't quite as tough as she wants to appear.
I don't mean that she's some sweet girl underneath or anything, it's just that Devils (like Power) tend to do a lot of posturing/self-deception to appear strong.
