Cocoa pokes her fingers together, questioning, “I… gotta be honest, I am a little curious on how something like this works with the likes of like, lottery numbers, or gambling.” That gets a few looks from the others. “N-not that I want to know! It’s mostly just, like, how does being able to foresee the future affect things like that?”
“I can answer that, actually.” mom speaks up. “The future isn’t set in stone. I’ve gotten plenty of flashes of insight that don’t come to pass, either through active effort at preventing them or them not being the ‘right’ insight. Trying to get winning lottery numbers might end up with you purchasing the wrong ticket, or altering the odds on a horse race by betting on an unexpected winner, causing others to bet on that one too.”
“Do you have an actual thing you would like to know?” Baba mutters, eyes narrowing a bit.
“...could ask about looking for an acting coach I guess.” she mumbles under her breath. “No, no, nevermind.”
“I have one.” Gohan speaks up. “I was able to pick up on the presence of someone besides the spirit of Janemba within my sword, and he seems pretty chill, honestly. Are you able to give me any insight into such a person? Who they were, what might be able to help them?”
That catches even Baba’s curiosity, as she looks into the crystal ball again. “Hmm… it is a bit harder to get a proper read on this one, the spirit of Janemba is far more present within your blade. But…” As she focuses, you see… a red ogre guy at some old equipment, listening to a boombox of sorts while he works changing some evil-looking fluid. Except some of it spills onto the boombox, forming into a… demonic lady that has elements of said boombox. Gohan glances at the sword with a raised eyebrow.
The crystal ball next shows her being sealed away thanks to the efforts of some dead warriors, one telling the ogre guy to wear some headphones next time. …And next time he is doing just that, headphones on his ears, as the things containing that concentrated evil explode… and release Janemba around the ore. That… kinda answers a lot of questions, while raising others.
“...We’re gonna need to have more of a chat later.” Gohan tells his sword.
