Range roughly doubles when you fire from aircraft at typically twice the speed.
This also assumes firing down, not horizontally or upward.
So from stationary ground launch, it should equate to <550-2500 meters which is pretty much 50 cal envelope and just slightly longer than the 7.62 from LMG.
It can be used, but unless it's fired from something like an F15 carrying multiple pods we are talking about a system that has to be pretty much exactly where the drones fly to potentially be effective.
All that said, given how densely they can be packed, the low cost etc it is probably useful as a point defence system on a tactical level.
Probably even better than something like an Oerlikon or Mantis.
It's just not something that I would count as serious air defence against drones like the Arash.
