You just proved you don't understand genetics. 'North African admixture in Iberia' literally IS genetic proximity - that's exactly what genetic proximity means. If two populations share ancestry and gene flow, they are by definition genetically close. You can't have admixture without genetic similarity.
Also, the study found North African ancestry gradients across ALL of southern Europe, not just Iberia. And if North Africans were as 'divergent' as you claim, their genes wouldn't be compatible enough to create viable, fertile offspring with Europeans for thousands of years. Basic biology.
