Education is the primary responsibility of the state. If you have private schools or religious schools it will inevitably create a 'state-within-a-state', fostering class divisions. Class means caste and caste means race. A detached upper class will become its own distinct racial entity seperate from the rest of the nation. The idea is to create one people, one nation, under one leader.
