Metal holds no regard for timbral expression, development, cohesion, or dynamics - while every other genre I listed does. There is literally almost nothing good about this popslop genre besides providing negative catharsis. Then listen to classical instead, and trad/speed/power don't even have great melodic work, the best melodic works in metal are in black metal or neoclassical metal, easily.
