Haven't had the urge lately but I think the more common issue is what people want out of erp.
Sometimes it's an appreciation for both characters and the oc/lore stuff behind it and wanting something romantic out of the characters out of affinity or just affection because ffxiv characters are hot of course.
Sometimes it's just for gooning and it's best to just be upfront about it and be honest so you both can have a good and honest time and then move on with your lives.
What I find the most cringe is people who write too long paragraphs and have a thesaurus open so they can use fancier or less used words but it just comes across as weird.
