It's actually straight up common that Jews say they're doing whatever they're doing because they believe it's good for Jews.
Like, they don't parade around saying it, but when they feel like they're in a 'safe environment' and in particular when in Jewish company, they'll say exactly that.
Like say George Soros. It used to always be said that his activities had nothing to do him being Jewish. But then his son comes out and is like "yeah he actually did everything primarily because he thought it was good for jews".
