Since ep 5 it was obvious that Nyaan was also a mess. She did everything for survival and freedom. That's why she felt so confused the moment she mindlessly shot Kycilia to save Machu's life, because she did to defend the closest thing she had to a friend instead of choosing the path that guaranteed her a more safer life under Kycilia's wings. She will side with Machu in the final episode and if she survives I can see them reconciling and being real friends this time. I just wish the writing wasn't this rushed
